What is a quote or motto you live by?
I live by these four Buddha quotes:
a. Before you speak, let your words pass through three gates: Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind?
b. Suffering is not holding you, you are holding suffering
c. You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.
d. You only lose what you cling to.
What brought you to Haumea?
When I learned that one of my most favorite people and teachers was beginning on a new path in her yoga journey, I was at first saddened. But when I saw the excitement in her eyes about this new journey, it filled me with such love and admiration of this brave woman. When I was given the opportunity to be a part of something so heart filled and brave, I had to also be brave and accept my small part in it.
What is a favorite memory of your mother?
I have many wonderful memories of my mom with my kids, cooking, caring for my family but my favorite or most moving memory is of her during the end of her life and how we shared space with each other without distractions, just being together, for each other.
