Haumea's introductory infant and child life-saving skills class is taught by a registered nurse, AHA instructor, and fellow mama. Using the AHA’is Family & Friends curriculum, participants will leave feeling prepared in emergency situations for infants and children. Skills taught include: infant and child CPR (compression and breaths), infant and child choking relief, and introduction to AED use. This classroom, hands-on format provides real-time feedback from an instructor so that you can leave feeling prepared and confident in case of an emergency. *Please note that this course does not fulfill the need for a course completion card for a job or other requirements. The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.
