Our Mind, Body, Birth class delves deeper into the tools and techniques you'll need to have the smoothest, most positive birth experience possible. What your brain is doing during labor is just as important as what your body and baby are doing! Together we'll explore simple mindfulness techniques used for millennia to help relieve pain, as well as a several other tried and true coping methods such as birth hypnosis, breathwork, movement, position changes, hydrotherapy, and hands-on support techniques such as massage, counter pressure, and acupressure. Partners or loved ones are encouraged to attend, and will learn tips for providing encouraging and comforting support. There will be lots of opportunity for practice, feedback, and questions! Please bring a pillow and a yoga mat or blanket for comfortable hands-on practice.
